Hi White's friends,
About four months ago I was hunting for one hour in a big wood. Until then I
hadn't found anything of interest, only trash. Finally, my White's
Spectrum XLT made a very good and clear sound near a big chestnut tree.
I began digging with picks but I had trouble due to the big roots. I
continued using only a long, strong and narrow dagger. I spent almost 20
minutes but finally, just under 12", I extracted from the roots the first
object, my heart was beating fast! Finally, I held in my hands, an old bronze
spoon. My efforts were rewarded! I passed the coil again over the hole.
Another very good signal! I was surprised and excited. After 10 minutes of
hard work, another spoon. Altogether four spoons, two of them in perfect
condition. I suppose they're circa 1500. Who buried them and why? A mystery.
No other signals around.
I've owned my Spectrum XLT for one year, I'm very
satisfied with it. My four friends have the top of other's metal detectors but
I think White's is the best for me...By the way, one month ago I bought the
underwater White's Beachhunter.
Sincerely, Francis.
